Summer Drawing

Summer Drawing

June, 2008

For its summer group show, Samuel Freeman will exhibit work based on a singular conceit: what does an artist call a drawing? The Summer Drawing Show does not attempt to expand the boundaries of the genre. Rather, it relies on a refreshingly simple single curatorial criterion: all participating artists must personally consider their submitted work a drawing. To that end, the exhibition will feature sculpture, painting, and classical “drawings”, ranging in scale and material.
